Meet our lovable pets of the week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Teddy the Pomeranian and bonded cats Veronica and Heather are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These lovely animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below!

Dog of the Week: Teddy

This little guy will warm your heart when you see him; perhaps more accurately, when he sees you. His smile is infectious, he’ll start circling in an ‘excitement dance’ because he’s just so happy around people and you can tell in an instant. It makes your day to see it.

He’s a Pomeranian and very clever. If you have an interest in training dogs to perform intricate tricks, this little man is for you. Of course, because of his love for people, he’d be just as happy being wherever you are.

Teddy is boisterous when he’s being walked and when he sees other dogs, but he’ll also take guidance, and again, you can teach him anything. He’ll respond very quickly.

Because of his small stature, he’d benefit from having access to the cosy interior of your house, but he’ll still need a yard to play in. Come and see Teddy. We guarantee you’ll smile straight away.

Cats of the Week: Veronica and Heather

Here’s a pair of sassy divas to add to your home and instantly improve the vibe. They’re a bonded pair who rely on each other as much as they rely on their own cattitude to navigate life.

These two are going to want to be around your family. Veronica (pictured left) will nuzzle into you and clamour for some cuddles while Heather observes. She’ll warm to you, but she’s going to sit at the end of the couch and see how things go before she commits.

When we say they are sassy, that doesn’t mean they won’t want to be around children or other pets. They absolutely will. They are affectionate, but it’s got to be on their terms. It’s quite sweet and funny to see.

They both need to be adopted together and being indoors is a must. Come and meet the dynamic duo and you’ll soon fall for them.

Visit RSPCA ACT at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life. You won’t regret it!
