Junior Binnu ‘Valley King’ Singh will be out to defend his featherweight title against Zulfikar Ali Zeeraan in Suva’s Vodafone Arena tonight.

“I’ve been preparing really well, and this fight will be a warm-up for my rematch against Zain Adams,” he said.

“I’ve improved on my mistakes from my previous fights so I’m coming strong this time around.”

Singh said he’s been training with James Singh, his father Binnu Singh (Snr) and his grandfather.

“I’m glad to have James Singh in my corner and he’s been very helpful in my preparation,” he said.

“I’ve trained well for the fight and I’m going for a knockout win.”

Singh had urged his friends to turn up for the much-anticipated programme.

Rakuro confident

Meanwhile, Rakuro Daunivavana has set his sights in breaking a 30-year jinx by taking back to Vanua Levu the Fiji welterweight title.

He challenges Fiji welterweight champion Jese Ravudi in tonight’s title fight at the Vodafone Arena in Suva.

“My inspiration is to take the tittle back to people of Vanua Levu and for my fans all over Fiji,” he said.

“I took my preparation seriously because I’ve been coming a long way without a title and I’m hungry for it.
