Jacob Elordi involved in NSW police investigation after alleged assault in Sydney’s eastern suburbs

Jacob Elordi is the subject of a NSW police investigation after allegedly being involved in a bust-up outside a hotel in Sydney on Saturday.

The Saltburn actor, who has quietly jetted into his home country ahead of the AACTA Awards on the Gold Coast February 10, was at a beachside suburb venue in Sydney’s east when he got into an altercation with KIIS FM employee Joshua Fox, the Sunday Telegraph reports.

Initial information suggests the incident took place in Coogee, though NSW Police have since told news.com.au this is inaccurate.

Brisbane-born Elordi, 26, is said to have been approached by 32-year-old Fox – who is known for crashing Married At First Sight weddings for his Instagram account MAFS Funny – when the Euphoria star became frustrated by his line of questioning.

A NSW Police spokesperson told news.com.au a man was allegedly assaulted during the encounter.

“Officers attached to Eastern Beaches Police Area Command are investigating after a man was allegedly assaulted outside a hotel in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs,” a statement read.

“Police were told about 3.30pm on Saturday 3 February 2024, a 32-year-old man was allegedly assaulted by a 26-year-old man. The man did not sustain any injuries.”

The spokesperson added inquiries into the incident were ongoing.

News.com.au has contacted KIIS FM, Fox and Elordi’s representatives for comment.

It is not yet known if Elordi plans to attend the upcoming AACTAs on the Gold Coast, though he is nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his role in the breakout Amazon hit, Saltburn.

Fellow Aussie Margot Robbie, who is attending the AACTAs to accept the Trailblazer award, was photographed jetting into Brisbane on Saturday.
