‘A little bit racist?’: ‘Mob tix’ concessions give cheaper event tickets to Indigenous

Sky News host James Macpherson says Indigenous Australians and First Nations people across the globe are being offered ticket discounts under new “mob tix” concessions.

The concessions were launched by the nation’s elite ballet, musical, arts, cultural, sporting bodies and institutions.

Institutions like the Australian Ballet will give you cheaper tickets if you tick a box saying you are Indigenous with no “proof of eligibility” required.

“By choosing not to say you’re Indigenous, you actually help to subsidise tickets for Indigenous people,” Mr Macpherson said.

“Isn’t this a little bit racist?”
