Apia, Samoa – 22 July 2024 – A Filipino woman, Arianne Fae Timblique has pleaded not guilty to the possession narcotics and unlawful ammunitions.

The Police summary of facts stated that the defendant travelled from American Samoa and entered Samoa via Faleolo International Airport on 6 July 2024.

On arrival at the airport, her bags went through the scanning process where the illegal items were identified.

According to the Police, the defendant “knowingly had in her possession narcotics namely four small clear plastic bags containing methamphetamine weighing 0.83 grams.”

Also found in her possession were unlawful ammunition namely 44 Rem Mag and Super Ammunition.

She is a resident of the Philippines and also lists Nu’uuli in American Samoa and Matautu, Apia as her residents.

She is remanded at liberty on conditions that she surrenders her travel documents to the Court Registrar and that she signs at the police headquarters twice a week until the hearing set for December 2024.
